My wife and I had our second transfer attempt the other day. Two days ago, actually. Which was a Tuesday. This means we’ll go back next Friday, the twelfth, to find out if we’re pregnant or not.

I mentioned this before, but I don’t feel the same peaks and valleys I felt the first time around, though one thing sucks. The first embryo they tried to thaw didn’t survive the process, so we had to move on and use another. That means two of our four haven’t worked. If this transfer is successful, then all is well; but if it isn’t, we only have one embryo left.

This appointment ended up being a little more fun, in a way. For one, the image from the ultrasound was so much more clear than last time, so when they pointed out her uterus, I was actually able to see the shape of the thing. Secondly, because the picture was so clear, we were able to see a little flash of light once the embryo made its appearance. Call me romantic or cheesy, but that little flash gave me hope.
